Psychill Space - May 2026 Updates

Lately I've been working a lot on new updates for Psychill Space. Some of them are fixes, some small features and some are a bit bigger. I think you'll find something cool on each of them. I've been working on several new features. Some of them are more artist-oriented, some are more community-focused.

May 2026 Updates - What's new at Psychill Space?

New music submission flow

I'm putting a lot of effort into making stuff nice and easy, so now to submit a track you can just insert a Bandcamp link and press "Import" - and have artist name, title, date and tracks filled automatically.

The new music submission flow allows you to vote for genres/moods/tags for each track while adding new releases, without having to wait until they're reviewed.

You can also enter "Advanced" mode to enter BPM, key or track links to various services. This will make it easier for everyone to find track using their favorite service.

If you're also the artist or a permitted label-person, you can also upload 30-90 second previews of tracks. This will make organic music discovery much easier, as hearing a preview will make it much more likely for people to listen to your music. (The previews won't be used anything other than promotion of the track)

Actually, when you submit your music, it doesn't undergo admin review process. Instead, it now requires it to be profiled three times (and to have more upvotes than downvotes). This will help the music to reach target audience and assure certain level of quality. You can share a link and ask your friends to profile the track, or leave it up to others via the new "Help Classify" section in Music.

Sonic Mandalas

Now everyone on Psychill Space will get their own animated sonic mandala! Everyone's mandala is a reflections genres that they like, and grows and changes colors with every track that you like! And if your music taste is similar to someone else's taste, your mandalas should be similar as well! 🙂

Great Community Update

Instead of having separate facebook-like feed and forums I decided to go a bit creative and merged into one. Every reply is also a post, somewhat like on Twitter, but with a nested forum structure - somewhat like Reddit. I think it will make things convenient.

The new structure puts control over what you see into your hands. Unlike any other service that I know of, Psychill Space allows you to finetune what you see with sliders - you decide whether you want to see content from everyone or your friends only, or whether you want to see only most engaging content or just order it chronologically.

Additionally, there were many fixes, some features which I might've forgotten, and also - you can now use a "submit feedback" feature to report bugs, suggestions, and other feedback.
