Overview
PsychillSpace respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This page outlines how to report copyright infringement and our procedures for handling such reports.
PsychillSpace does not host or redistribute copyrighted audio. Our music database contains metadata, cover art used under fair use for reference purposes, and links to official streaming platforms. 30-second previews are sourced from Deezer's public preview API.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on PsychillSpace infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice containing the following information:
- Your full legal name and contact information (email address, mailing address)
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed
- The specific URL(s) or description of the infringing content on PsychillSpace
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
How to Submit
You can report copyright infringement through any of these methods:
- Report button: Use the report button on any content page and select "Copyright infringement" as the reason. Include the required DMCA notice information in the details field.
- Email: Send your complete DMCA notice to [email protected]
- Discord: Contact a moderator in our Discord server
What Happens Next
- We will review your notice and verify it contains all required information
- If valid, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
- We will notify the user who posted the content (if applicable)
- The affected user may file a counter-notice (see below)
Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed in error or is not infringing, you may file a counter-notice containing:
- Your full legal name and contact information
- Identification of the content that was removed and its former location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.
Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA, PsychillSpace will terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to the platform for users who repeatedly submit invalid or abusive takedown notices.
Good Faith & Misrepresentation
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please ensure your notice or counter-notice is accurate before submitting.
