New Psychedelic Music April/May 2026

Younger Brother - Mutually Assured Distraction

I m so happy to hear a new album from the one and only Younger Brother! Simon Posford and Benji Vaughan have teamed up again to create more of that twisted, hypnotizing psychedelic electronica. Mirabelle Rose s ethereal vocals complement the legendary duo s melodies in several tracks, I Belong to Nowhere or A Paradox of Witches are guaranteed to end up echoing in your mind for days. While some people have found the release to be fairly bland for YB s standards, others have been blasting it on repeat. Regardless of what other people say, this is one of the most prominent releases of the year so far it s a must listen.

Dejalum - Purple Beveled Cubes

This April, Dejalum released a delightful EP. He masterfully blends psydub and psystep into an explorative yet relaxing psychedelic journey and I absolutely love it.

Mattura - Paradigm Shift

Mattura, who had a great debut last year, continued to work diligently and released a whole new album! It has a vibe very similar to his previous work, except it s a bit more exploratory; slightly more experimental.

Bread Winner - Valero Bebop

If you re into squeaky, squelchy, playful music with a healthy dose of bass and glitch, this is something right for you. Bread Winner serves just the perfect amount of novelty.

Lu Tze - Eclipse

Eclipse is an album from an obscure artist, Lu Tze released on Mystic Sound Records it s a downtempo/chillout piece with a pinch of experimental, it incorporates dark basslines, elements of psytrance and world instrumentation for a unique, ancient-futuristic atmosphere.

Summary

There was a bunch of really cool releases in past 1.5 month, I think everyone will find something genuinely interesting for them, regardless whether they prefer chill or energy, classic or experimental.

I was a bit late to make April post due to life getting in the way and being busy with a lot of other things, but I think I will keep having 1.5-2 month breaks between new releases posts it allows me more time to find, listen, select music and write, rather than rushing with a new post at the beginning of each month, even if I don t have many interesting releases to share.
