Taking a dose of Aether by Brokenblender

The first track of the album, "Supersky Echo," sets the tone and atmosphere for the rest of the journey. It starts with a relaxed, rhythmic intro and then transitions into a full blown broken rhythms interwoven with a fat bassline and exceptional glitchy ear candy. When you're really vibing with the track and expecting it to end, electric FM sounds and mangled chants elevate it to another level.

"Hamera's Veil" represents the more psysteppy part of the album. It opens with a resonant dubstep bassline, and then starts to transition to a more broken rhythm, incorporating gated oriental chant for a truly exceptional effect.

Further into the album is "Luminous Elevation," which opens with an ethnic string instrument leading into a drum and bass beat. Rather interesting combination, but it works well. The special effects in this one are superb, especially love the moment when the FM-synthesized hit - but it ends too soon, I feel like there should be more of that.

The artist behind

Brokenblender is an Israeli producer born in Ukraine. In his music, he combines Psybass, Downtempo, and broken rhythms with new age/tribal/ethnic influences. With releases like Fresh Cuts (2019) on Protonic Records and Blending Realms (2020), Broken Pieces (2022) and Ancient Me (2023) on Merkaba Music, he made a huge leap in the level of his production for Aether.

I have been in love with the sound of this album since I first heard it upon its November 2025 release, and I remain just as impressed. It has very original structure for such an energetic release, fitting both dancefloors and couches. It's one of the more innovative new releases recently, and I really enjoy it. It's definitely one of the more innovative albums I've heard recently. The release is very inspiring, it'll surely influence my future productions - I hope some psytrance producers out there would take inspiration from him as well.
